Frequently asked questions.

Is life coaching the same as therapy?

Life coaching is different than therapy because it has a different focus. While therapy focuses on the past and mental health, life coaching focuses on the future and getting tangible results. That being said, working with a life coach should improve your mental health. I am not certified to do therapy as of now, but if that is one of your goals I can help you reach it!

Can I have you as a life coach if I don’t have trauma?

Absolutely! I am a trauma-informed coach, but I don’t exclusively coach people with trauma. Letting people know I am trauma-informed just lets those with trauma know that this is a safe place.

Why is life coaching so expensive?

Believe me, I hate money more than anyone. Unfortunately, the world we live in relies on it. Coaching is usually similar in price to therapy because the benefits are so long-lasting. The things you will learn in my programs are things you will be able to use for the rest of your life. A few hundred split up over 30 years is basically free, right? (That’s girl math.)

That doesn’t make it any less expensive at the moment though. If you can’t afford the programs I have, don’t let that be the reason you don’t get the help you need. Reach out to me about my scholarship program and we can discuss a price cut.

What do the programs have?

I have two programs at the moment, a three-month and a six-month program. The three-month program includes 12 hour-long sessions (4 per month) to work on your personal goals, worksheets that you can keep and use after the program ends, and a Journey Tracker™ to help you track your growth. The six-month program has 24 hour-long sessions (4 per month) as well as the rest of the benefits of the three-month program, but an extra focus on a topic of your choice, such as health, somatic movement, budget handling, etc.

The three-month program is best for people who are confident in themselves but need some extra help accomplishing goals. The six-month program is designed for people who are struggling with their sense of self and need extra care in addition to goal-setting.
